GOADV COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF EUROPEAN WEB PROPERTY EXCITE

The acquisition brings together the brand strength of an internet pioneer with the business and technical expertise of GOADV’s specialist online media team. It includes the web properties active in the UK (www.excite.co.uk), Germany (www.excite.de), France (www.excite.fr), Italy (www.excite.it), Spain (www.excite.es) and the Netherlands (www.excite.nl).
Through the acquisition, GOADV is strengthening its network of sites which include general portals, vertical sites and comparators and plans to double its overall appeal by reaching 12 million unique visitors each month. The operation is part of GOADV’s global strategy and gives the company ownership of a world recognised platform with high brand appeal.
Luca Ascani, President of GOADV, stated: “After the private placement on Alternext we announced our plan to purchase a well known web property. Between Excite and GOADV, the business and technical synergies are strong. Excite’s reputation, joined with our experience in terms of generating qualified traffic for our clients, will allow us to increase our revenues as of early 2008. We also plan to increase our profitability by further developing the natural attractivity of our sites.”
This month the company will begin executing the planned integration of the two companies’ operations to ensure a smooth transition with immediate value for customers, partners and investors.
